    Default double checkout

I'm testing my cart and when placing an order with Paypal Express Checkout, after submitting payment via paypal I'm returned to step 2 in the checkout process. I click continue to step 3 then continue again at which this time I arrive at the checkout success page. How do I avoid the double process and go directly from making paypal payment to checkout success?

    Faithfully,

    Dawn

I would also like to know this? It kind of defeats the whole "express" checkout...

For some unexplained reason your customer's information is not being accepted, most likely due to address/zone mismatches, and so checkout is going back to collect it again.
A quick workaround for your problem is to turn off the EC Shortcut Button in your EC module settings. Then customers will create an account as usual, and choose PayPal on the payment-selection screen, and complete checkout normally.

Ok, so does this mean I am supposed to switch from express checkout to standard?

I did this and when testing on step 2 of checkout process under Payment Method it says:

Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

In the mod I have None selected for zone.

    Please advise. Thank you!

No, switching to Standard is not ideal. Standard should be a very last resort.

In your Admin, within your Express Checkout settings, there's an option for "Express Checkout Shortcut Button" which is on by default. Turn it off.
If you don't have that option, then you're using an old version of Zen Cart and should be upgrading.

What was the answer. My cart was working fine for sometime, but has now started doing this whether I use the normal go to checkout button or the PayPal Express shortcut button.
