Many questions from a newbie!

I'm using ZenCart 1.3.9h. I did not install it. It was uploaded for me by GoDaddy.

1. I used a 'starter' store name to see if I could even get this thing up and running. Now that I seem to have things somewhat together, I want to correct it. I went into config-store name and changed it, but that only changed the store name in the footer. The name at the top of the page to the right of the "powered by ZenCart" image will not change. No idea where to change that.

2. How can I remove the powered by ZenCart box and the horizontal image bar behind it? I do not want to replace it with any other images, I just want them gone.

3. How can I change the browser title bar so that it reflects my website name instead of the ZenCart stuff?

4. Is there a proper way to make a backup or do I need to just copy all my files from my web server?

5. How can I update the create account page to reflect that my customers do not need to enter a shipping address?

6. Is there a way to have the shipping address fields automatically fill with nonsense data if I absolutely must have something?

I don't understand #1. What do you mean by 'starter' store name ?

5. Again, it's unclear what you're asking. You can add text to the appropriate template page to advise your visitors. If you're asking how to configure Zencart such that a shipping address isn't required, we'll need more information, like how you plan to ship your products. If they are downloads, search the Tutorials/FAQ area for download.

1. By starter name, I mean I just typed in something at random with the intent of changing it later if I found that I could somewhat manage the software.

5/6. I am not shipping things, I am selling virtual items. The products are not downloads. They are completely virtual - they don't really exist. I'm creating a website using ZenCart to sell in-game items for in-game coins. I don't need the customers to give me a shipping address. I didn't think it was possible to erase the option of providing an address altogether, so I wanted to either leave a note on the page saying to use generic data (like 1234 Street) or if I could automatically populate the address fields with generic data (like 1234 Street).

One of the options when you create a product is:

Product is Virtual: Yes, Skip Shipping Address | No, Shipping Address Required

so if all your products atre virtual, you should be good. If you also have some non-virtual products, Zencart can handle that, too. Search the Tutorials/FAQ for virtual.
