    Default Email Error: The following From address failed:

    Hi

    I am having problem with my Paypal checkout. Initially I was receiving an email from Paypal email saying I had received an order, but when I went into ZenCart Admin the order was not there (Details of a new customer were). This meant I could not see details of the order.

    I searched the forum and have sinced installed Paypal Express. I know get the order coming through in Zen Cart Admin, but the customer gets the following message when completing checkout.

    Email Error: The following From address failed: [email protected]

    Can anyone help?

    If your store can't send emails, you'll probably need to change your email configuration settings in Admin->Configuration->Email Options.
    Change Email Transport to SMTPAUTH
    And fill in all the SMTP settings near the bottom of the list, as well.

    Does this happen for New Account emails? And Order Status update emails? And send-gift-certificates emails?
    Or is it strictly isolated to ONLY when checking out and paying by PayPal?
    Have you tested by enabling the moneyorder payment module and selecting it during checkout, and see whether the order-confirmation emails are sent properly in that case?
    If it's truly isolated only to when PayPal is used, then you've probably got the setting in your PayPal module for "Debug log to email" enabled, and you've specified an invalid Store Owner Email Address or Send From address in Admin->Configuration->Email Options, and it's failing when trying to send the debug log data.
    Either way, make sure those email addresses are indeed correct, and don't contain extra spaces at the beginning or end, etc.
