    Default Utilitarian template recommendations?

What would you recommend for a utilitarian template for a store selling no greater than 4 items? We don't need categories, sideboxes, search functions, banner ads, flashy colors, or any of that.

On the landing page, all we want is either 4 rows or 4 columns, one for each item. Each would have a clickable photo/link to take you to the product page to read more and add the items to your cart.

I would pay for such a template if it exists and was compatible with 1.3.9h. Otherwise, I'd probably have to configure my own. Any suggestions?

Have you looked at the free templates available for Zen Cart? You can see them in action at http://(sorry, site offline)/. Use the pulldown menu to see what the template will look like on a live store.

You can turn off many of Zen Cart's features in the admin. Beware of templates that do not use the Zen Cart override system and disable Zen Cart functions.

Zen Cart is extremely flexible and allows room for growth. You don't want to stymie your website.

You won't find a template that does exactly that, but it'll be easy to do it yourself.

    I can get you started.

Create a category, then create your products inside it.

Turn off both sidebox columns and set Categories - Always Show on Main Page to 1, enter the id number of your category in Main Page - Opens with Category, and set Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF to 0, all in Admin - Configuration - Layout Settings.

Create EZ pages in Admin - Tools - EZ Pages with Internal Links to your Privacy Page, Shipping Info and Contact Us pages (and any others you want your visitors to be able to access) and set them to appear in the footer.

Style the site. Styling is mostly done in the stylesheet.

You need one category to hold your products. In admin > Configuration > Layout Settings >
Categories - Always Show on Main Page > set to 1
Main Page - Opens with Category > set to your category id

Column Left Status - Global > set to 0
Column Right Status - Global > set to 0
Define Breadcrumb Status > set to 0

and other settings you may want in order to make the template clean.
