Setting up shipping module

Have you turned on the Shipping Estimator in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ...

Shipping Estimator Display Settings for Shopping Cart

0= Off
1= Display as Button on Shopping Cart
2= Display as Listing on Shopping Cart Page

Ok, I turned it on Now I can see the flat rate in available shipping methods (others are switched off). However, when I add two or more titles to my shopping cart, shipping does not seem to increase. What's wrong?

Flat Rate flat is for 1 single shipping cost regardless of 1 to 10000 items in the cart ...

Item Rate item is for a shipping Rate x Quantity in the cart ... and if you want the first Item to be more, you can add a Handling Fee using something like:
Shipping Cost: 2.00
Handling Fee: 3.00

I would like first two items for 3-3 EUR and all additional item for 2 EUR. Is that possible? You helped a lot, many thanks

Ok, I found that editing table rate will be my final solution. I can set up there exact limits. Many thanks for help me in orientation
