Category Thumbs on home page not showing

I can't seem to find the location of any documentation in this forum of how to enable the category thumbnails to show on the home page. All of my categories are showing up in text format in a 'grid' on the home page, but I want to add a little thumbnail. Where do I enable this, where do I upload the images and where do I specify their max/min image sizes?

The category image is added when you create the category, or added later on the same admin page.

I have created several categories. Yes I see that I can add an image when I create the category, but what about after the categories are already created? Where can I go back into the admin and add them? I've looked but it always seems to take me into the product pages. Will I have to re-create my categories? I suppose that wouldn't take me too long. Thanks for the help.

Editing the category to add an image is done on the same page where you created the category. Admin - Catalog - Categories/Products and click the 'e' icon on the category you want to edit.

I can't believe I didn't see that earlier, I thought for sure I tried that, guess I somehow missed it! Thank you stevesh!
