Copying a entire live site to a test folder on the same host.

Seeking assistance with making a full "testing copy" of a live production site.

Have been using Zen version 1.3.8a with good success on a non-transaction site for a couple of years now.

Recently it's been decided that the current site needs to be converted to a transaction site for some of the Products offered.
A new sub-domain on the same host server has been created for the "test" site which also has a SSL Cert. recently installed.

I have browsed the boards and FAQ's and have found some of the information related to making a copy of a site but it's generally the opposite of what I'm trying to accomplish
(ie: creating a test site BEFORE deploying as a production site...

The existing live site needs to remain that way while the test site is config'd for transactions then once tests are complete I'll need to copy the test site over to where the current live site lives on the same host server.

Any assistance from developers familiar with what I am trying to accomplish would be greatly appreciated.

Since you should be upgrading to the latest version before you do anything else, just follow the upgrade procedures to make your test site using the latest version: www.zen-cart.com/upgrade
