Display "Sort by Manufacturer" on the "Advanced Search Result" page.

Hi there, on my site my customers are relying heavily on the search function to find what they are looking for.

When in a category there is a dropdown form where they can filter down results by "manufacturer", is there an option to have a manufacturer filter on the Advanced Search Result page too?

Can someone point me in the right direction...

Sorry to bump, but im several hours on and no further to acomplishing this...

Someone must know how to do this, the code is already in zencart and working perfectly when in a category.

Yes your correct on the "Advanced Search" page they are able to define a Manaufacturer to search in.

However if the user just uses the search sidebox and enters "banana" for example then it automaticly returns the results onto the "Advanced Search Result" page.

I want my users to be able to filter their "Results" by "Manufacturer" after they have perfomed a search.

There is an Alpha filter within zencart but It only displays "Filter By: A,B,C,D,E,F,etc..etc.." on the "Advanced Search Result" page.
Which isnt that useful for my site, the abilty to further filter the results by manufactuer is kind of essential.

Any ideas / help is much appreciated.

Not a programmer, but I'm sure you're looking at custom coding which is probably beyond the scope of a forum reply.
