help question Define Pages: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions

My host provider offers zen-cart as an e-commerce addon in their service but they only offer version 1.3.9d and it shows there's no upgrade available, so I uninstalled it and downloaded the newest version fron Zen-Cart 1.3.9h and installed it manually. Everything seemed to install ok even demo material, but when I go to tools and attempt go to "Define Pages Editor" I get thos Error Message:

Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /usr/local/pem/vhosts/219987/webspace/httpdocs/store/includes/languages/english/html_includes/classic/define_main_page.php

I tried changing permissions according to the help pages here, I tried 777 755 and still nothing. The only way I can edit these pages is with my editor DreamweaverCS4.

    Go To :

    httpdocs/store/includes/languages/english/html_includes/classic/define_main_page.php

via your FTP and edit the file manually :)

better still make a folder in /html_includes with your "template" name, and copy the file to there.

application error Re: Define Pages: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions

I did access the files manually via DWcs4 but I should be able to access and edit them via the admin control panel rather than my web software, I'm thinking somewhere in between my admin folder and the store's root folder there is either a permission I'm missing or somehow my domain hosts owner/group settings on my site aren't recognizing my admin control panel as owner since it's running within my domains root and I'm accessing it via ip/tcp through my web browser.

It may be you're editing the wrong file. A link to your site would help.

I haven't edited anything yet just looking aound and checking all the Admin control panel menues and I ran acrossed where it gave me the error, so then I went to DWCS4 to go into my rootfolders n see if I was denied anything and wasn't so thats what leaves me to believe my host root isn't seeing my admin control panel as the root owner.

It means the security settings on your languages folder with the define pages are set too high. Don't just do the files, check the folder too. Change it in your server admin.
