    Default Products filtering problems

I have posted this on the other section, but I believe here is more appropriate.

I have a website that sells cell phone accessories (www.impspecial.com), as you know there are a lot of manufactures and lots of accessories. For example, I have broke down into cases>mobile>device brand

Now once you get to the device brand, if they are looking for an otterbox, they are have to go thru all of my hundreds of products. I would like to insert more filters, such as... brand, color, etc.

Any ideas on how I could do it?

I suggest you to work on "cloning" the existing manufacturer filter. It's quite complicated, but possible. It took to me around 4 days to do it. I've done it some months ago so I don't remember exactly...The only thing I can say, study with much attention on Manufacturer filter. The thing is the same, but obviously you won't filter manufacturers names but other "features" that you'll have to add to your database in a new table.

    Thank you for the response

If you did in 4 days you did great.

I am trying to do exactly what you said, but it takes time, and I have a lot of products.

Is there a way to create a product and link it as you are creating it?

i thought that surely there would be a much easier way to do it.

    Thanks anyway

Is there a easier way to do this besides cloning.
I have about 3,000 products, and cloning will take a long time.

How can i create a filter as a side bar?

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
