Hi all,

please help with this situation:

when I click on a product from a category it takes me here:
http://www.bequjuice.com/store/index...&products_id=8

when I click on the same product name from a quick reorder or shopping cart side box it takes me here:
http://www.bequjuice.com/store/index...&products_id=2

The difference:
product_info&cPath=2&products_id=8
product_info&products_id=2

so far this is fine, but when in product info page when I click on the category image the first one(cpath) takes me to the product listing page, which is what I want.

The product info page derived from under quick reorder or shopping cart sideboxes takes me to "congratulation you have in stalled zencart..." page which is not what i want.

can anyone help please???

did you log in? and added products to cart then while you're shopping click on the product under shipping cart sidebox. When in product info page click on the purepress logo(category image). You'll see that it will take you to "you have successfully install zencart" instead of the product listing page.

I see what you mean. I would go in to admin and maybe try going to tools --> store manager and resetting the master category id's. I would backup your database though before doing that.

i did the reset and didnt do anything. Any other potential fixes for this? For some reason when clicked on product from under the shopping cart sidebox it goes here:
http://www.bequjuice.com/store/index...products_id=10

but from main menu or categories it goes here:
http://www.bequjuice.com/store/index...products_id=10

the later one uses cpath=2. any ideas?

Yes, your right. It does have something to do with the cpath not being added to the links in those particular sideboxes. I'm not quite sure why thats happening. It might just be a switch in admin that needs to be changed.

One solution would be to install SEO URL's Ultimate and then change the seo url config setting to uinclude cpath's. It would be a good idea to install that mod anyhow for seo reasons.

For what it's worth, my stock test site does the same thing. Failing an explanation, I'd consider that a bug, although it's unlikely customers would click on the category image when they have the Categories sidebox available.

hmm that's weird. It would seem that there would be a simple fix for this or something, thought I missed it in the admin somewhere. Just looks like the home link was not changed in the right sideboxes. It does the same from the reorder sidebox when you click on the product from there as well.

I notice:

product_info&cPath=2&products_id=8
product_info&products_id=2

which, if you are clicking the same product each time, is definitely misbehaving. In certain cases you can have a product which is linked to multiple categories, and go to the product page without going through a category (from "all products" for example); then there would be no cPath to use in a link. It should still use the right products_id, though. Your example looks as if the products_id field is being fed the cPath value. If that was a typo that you entered, then the problem is not related to these comments.

Right now you have a different problem, apparently related to installing the Short Description mod. This makes it impossible to look at the problem you reported here.

i just uninstalled the short description mod and removed all of it's files. The install didnt work for me, wish there was an easier way to display short description.

So it's back to "normal"; The links are not working from under the shopping cart links.
also even when I didnt link the products in multiple categories it still would do this. Please see if you can figure out what the issue might be now.
