MailChimp Integration?

MailChimp is really designed for bulk emailing, not the customer-specific type of emailing you're talking about.

What if I just want my shopper to be added to my Mailchimp list automatically during their account creation process... when they select "yes, add me to email list". Is that possible?

Correct. It is the mod that was "formerly known as" Mailchimp Sidebox.
