Skip Shipping and Payment Methods

Hi,

We have a client that wants to bypass both shipping and payment methods, to create an 'order', which they can then email back with a selection of payment methods and a shipping cost. Rather than the website doing the work for them.

It is an odd request and I am not sure of the best way to go about it. In the future they may want to go with the automated methods so I don't want to break the website...

Has anyone done this before.. and is it possible.

You can bypass the shipping page by designating all products as 'virtual'. You could then rename and change the text of the Check/Money Order payment module so no payment was required at checkout.

You should be informing your client that they are being foolish.
No one ever buys anything from a store set up like this unless the store is selling products that can't be purchased from other online stores.

..... having said that, yes, it is possible using the method mentioned by stevesh
