    Default Dag nabbit. I broke my site trying to install Stock By Attributes.

    Hi,

    I've been putting together a store for my band, and I wanted to have different size t-shirts with different stock based on attributes. I downloaded Stock by Attributes, which said it was compatable with versions above 1.3 something. At any rate, I followed their read me very carefully and ran their stock_attribute.sql file which created two new tables.

    Then I created my custom folders. and uploaded the files as instructed. Well, the Stock by Attributes stuff didn't show up in my admin so I think this is where i messed up.

    I then went into the Install SQL Patches and ran their update_1_4_10.sql file without backing up my db.

    Now my admin section of my site is still visible, but my store front is completely blank. I'm using a fresh install of ZenCart 1.5. I don't have any other mods installed. Just some custom css which has been working alright for a couple weeks. I tried switching back to the classic Zen which did not fix anything.

    Anyone know why? And anyone know how to fix it?

    -Dave

    Additional note. I may be able to Restore my database from a backup via my service provider. Lmk if you think this might fix it. This situation goes to remind me that READING THE RED TEXT IS PROBABLY REALLY IMPORTANT before proceeding.

    Yes, the is the fastest and easiest way to get back up running again ...

    Always create a test site and upload your addons there ... If you like and all successful all systems go ..

    Thanks for the quick response. I have restored the database but it looks like my store is still down. It's giving me a HTTP Error 500 and says there is a Server Error. I've tried refreshing and doublechecking that it's the right db i'm restoring. I'm restoring it back 12 hours. It was working this morning, so that should be good.

    I would call your host and have then reload the entire site back from scratch ...

    Then create a test site and make sure you load the attributes by stock mod correctly

    Their restore site feature seems to be failing. I think I have a bunch of the files locally, I guess I'll try to re-upload the ones that the plugin changed?

    Oh thank goodness. That worked. I went through each of the modified files, and re-uploaded the file I had saved a couple weeks back. From now on, yes I'll copy the whole site and experiment that way. Thanks for the help, Haredo.

    Ty for your update ...

    Edit your stylesheet.css and add this:

    store/includes/templates/strandland/css/stylesheet.css
    #productDescription, .shippingEstimatorWrapper {
    margin-left: 11em;
    padding: 0.5em;
    }
    The highlighted red text above is what I added ...

    Oh cool, that looks better! Thank you.

    It's still a little under construction, things like that totally help me out!

    Naturally the biggest thing missing is a music player. I think I'm going to use youtube videos with clips from each album, or soundcloud embed as my audio preview for the site.
