Help Help Help... I want to remove the customers phone number that is showing as a required feild..that is a big red flag for an E-book site..The only payment I take is Pay Pal. I do not need their address either because my books are all downloaded. Any one know how to fix this problem?

I think you can make the phone number optional by going in to admin/configuration/minimum values and setting telephone number to blank. As for removing it completely, that would require file editing.
