Order status for downloadable products

When selling a downloadable product, I understand the need to make it available only after payment is received. I've added a few custom Order Status and want some of them to still allow the customer to download their products.

Where I can control what Order Statuses will allow that to happen. Currently, when I change the order status, the customer cannot even though they've paid.

You can set the Order Status on each of the Payment Modules ...

But that only allows one status to be set. It is currently set to Processing [2]. We have a status 'backordered' that we set if any shippable products are backordered but doing so prevents the customer from downloading the other items on their order.

You want to make your Order Statuses so they can fit a "pattern" of what Orders can get Downloads ...

If you look in the Configuration ... Attribute Settings ... you will see that the defaults are >= 2 and <=4 ...

If you want that to include other Order Statuses, such as Backorder ... you could make Back Order the orders_id 4 and change Update to 5 ... and change the setting to <= 5 ...
