A big mess. I agree. It is showing up stuff of php files I have already removed and replaced. How about I delete everything in the database that looks dodgy. Then delete the add on php modules that I have installed. Then re-install them. Then see what happens. Does this sound like a good plan?

Are you sure you have ALL shipping modules uninstalled and ALL shipping modules have a red dot on them?

Also, check your files, on the server, for:
/includes/configure.php
/your_secret_admin/includes/configure.php

and make sure that both are using the same database information ...

Then, make sure that the database listed is the one you checked in phpMyAdmin ...

Yes all dots are red on the shipping modules.

And the files seem to be pointing to the correct database.

Maybe I've overfilled that data base with all my mucking around trying to get it to work.

Go to phpMyAdmin and run the SQL:

SELECT *
FROM `configuration`
WHERE `configuration_key` LIKE '%MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE%'

delete everything that comes up ...

Then run the SQL:

SELECT *
FROM `configuration`
WHERE `configuration_key` LIKE '%MODULE_SHIPPING_FREEONFRIDAYS%'

and delete everything that comes up ...

Now run the SQL:

SELECT *
FROM `configuration`
WHERE `configuration_key` LIKE '%MODULE_SHIPPING%'

what comes up?

Done that. Nothing comes up with the database query. Tried installing a simple table rate module. Still nothing comes up in the estimator.
Uninstalled it.

When you have ALL shipping modules removed ... and only see the red dot on each ...

You are saying when you run in phpMyAdmin the SQL:

SELECT *
FROM `configuration`
WHERE `configuration_key` LIKE '%MODULE_SHIPPING%'

that you do not get a configuration_key for:

MODULE_SHIPPING_INSTALLED

or do you see that one?

I've deleted everything (database included) and done a complete reinstall. I know it's a bit deafeatest, but it is working now. I'm going to do a complete backup now before I try and install any new shipping modules.
