    Default Contact Page H1 Header

    1.3.9h

Every default 'Information' page has a H1 Header with the page's function such as 'Shipping & Returns' and 'Privacy Policy', EXCEPT the "Contact Us" page.

So... I added an H1 header with the text 'Contact Us!' in the Define Pages Editor.

Now... The header appears, but the problem is it has an unwanted space above that makes it lower on the page than every other page's H1 Header.

    See here: http://losteras.com/store/index.php?...age=contact_us

First question: Why does the Contact Us page not have a default header?

More importantly, what is causing the space above the header and how can I get rid of it??

The contact us page is a generated form versus just a div with an h1 tag in it. Adding the h1 puts it inside a div, inside a form,

You can either create a whole bunch of new IDs and classes to work around the spacing for this page OR just change Store Owner to something like Professional Costume Inquiries. Trying to add too much ends up with things like Costumes and General Inqueries.
    A little help with colors.

This I saw. Can you direct me to the form code?

Why would the makers of ZC not put the H1 header there and the form under it in the first place?

Are you saying the text in the dropdown list is effecting the space above, or just pointing out a peeve?

    I'm saying that the customer
    1. Didn't search for contact us, but rather clicked on it.
    2. They therefore know they are going to wind up at the Contact Us page.
    3. Having extra notifications that they are on the Contact Us page are the epitome of redundancy
    4. No one will read any extra verbiage on the page unless it's a phone number or location.
    5. Will probably only look at the drop downs - hence the suggested change from Store Owner.
If you are trying to get the h1 in for SEO, you should not be indexing that page anyway.

Ahh I understand. The General Inqueries is for employees who have access to that email box who can answer questions without bothering the store owner. The Contact Owner is strictly for contact from Theaters/Productions which the owner wants to handle directly.

No my quest for a header is not for SEO. Just MY peeve that the page doesn't have a header in the first place

It's easy enough to create a new contact us page using EZ-Pages.

IMHO - "Much Ado About Nothing"

There are SO MANY things higher up on the "gotta fix" list. And, a BUNCH on the "if it looked better" list.

Of course, the beauty of Zen Cart is that you are free to mess around with things like this while the competition sells product.

I remedy that difference by removing that header from the other define pages. Seems a waste of space to me.

It's easy if you want it. Go to admin/Tools/Define Pages Editor, select the contact_us.php file and edit it to include the H1 that you want. This puts it inside the DIV that has a class of "content", instead of just above that DIV, but that matters not, to me.
