Edit Image Size on Category Pages

I'm wondering if there is a way to edit the image sizes on product pages or any page in general. On my website, no matter what image dimensions I upload to the category, it resizes it to 100x125 pixels.

I'm supposing it's in the stylesheet.css or other .css file, but I don't want to screw anything else changing something I'm not sure about.

The accepted practice is to try and give us more information about the problem. Also, the original link you posted was modified by the forum's word filter and did not work.
If I get what you are asking, there is a background image defined in your stylesheet.css around line 1251 called prodBg.gif. Remark or remove that call from your stylesheet and the box will go away.
Next, I suggest you look at the creation of a custom template. You have done major modifications to the classic template and they will be lost on your next upgrade.
