Number of columns in search results?

Hi,

Can someone tell me the answer to a 'no doubt' simple question.

I have the column mod installed. It has produced my search results into 4 columns:

x x x x
x x x x
ect....

I want the result to be 3 columns:

x x x
x x x

This is due to the 4 results making my template over hang it's default size.

I can't find the setting anywhere. I have found the 'Number of search results per page' switch but no number of columns per row.

Helps greatly appreciated

Scrap that. I've taken the right hand column out on the search result page instead. :)
