Free Shipping and Other Options

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone has a solution for this issue?

We offer free shipping on orders over $100. This has been working well but we have realized that some people would rather pay for faster shipping.

I have researched how to set this up in Zen Cart via the forums, but the suggested method does not work on our site.

Issue

No free shipping option shown on the Shipping Estimator or the checkout process' Shipping Screen.

Actions Performed

1. Gone to Admin / Modules / Order Total / Shipping, and changed "Do you want to allow free shipping?" to false.

2. Gone to Admin / Modules / Shipping, installed the Free Shipping Options (freeoptions) and modified the field entitle Free Shipping when Total >= to equal 100.01 and set the module to true.


We are currently running Zen Cart Version: 1.3.9h.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That would be the way to do it ...

Are you setting Zones or something on Free Shipping Options freeoptions?

As a test for this or other issues, click on Free Shipping Options freeoptions and do a REMOVE, INSTALL and set the Total >= 100.01 ... then click Update ...

NOTE: if you are using Sort Orders on your Shipping Modules, then you need to use Unique Sort Orders on ALL shipping modules installed ...

Thanks for the quick reply.

My apologies, I had already tried uninstalling and re-installed the module.

On your advice, I confirmed that Zones are not being used and also confirmed that all sort orders were set to 0.

It then worked!

The only thing I had changed was the Sort Order of the Admin / Modules / Order Total field which was set at 200. I changed it to 0, even though it was set to false.

As an experiment, I set the sort order back to 200 but it still worked.
