    Default Internet Explorer and CSS categories

    Hi

    Internet explorer has a serious problem with my categories.

    I have no idea what is wrong. It is confusing because the same category plugin works on Internet Explorer on another website.

    Please help me to resolve this as a lot of my customer base will be users using Internet Explorer.

    The only thing I've changed in the CSS flyout menu is the colours. I added a gradient colour on mouse-over when the category has no subcategories. So, basically I've just changed the colours, and the arrow which indicates that there is a subcategory.

    This is my website:

    pcselect.co.za

    Please help me to resolve this.

    All help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    S

    Oddly, your site works OK in IE7, but not in IE8. The difference I'm seeing is that the second level doesn't appear in IE8.

    When I remove either the z-index: or the filter: parts from #nav-cat LI:hover, it seems to work, so I'd start there.

    I've deleted "z-index: 1000;" from stylesheet_categories_menu.css, and it has seemed to partially fix the problem. However, the categories now appear behind the main index.

    You can see what I mean:
    pcselect.co.za

    Is the a way to fix this?

    Thanks for your help

    Edit: The JAVA image slider shows in front of the categories.

    In IE9 and Chrome the subcatgories disappear behind the Java image fader and the 'Like" Facebook button on product info pages.

    Alright, I think the question now changed to:

    How do I wrap the following code in something that will place it BEHIND all other elements on the page:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="fade.js"></script>

    <script type="text/javascript">
    //new fadeshow(IMAGES_ARRAY_NAME, slideshow_width, slideshow_height, borderwidth, delay, pause (0=no, 1=yes), optionalRandomOrder)

    new fadeshow(fadeimages, 776, 340, 0, 5000, 0 )

    </script>

    Thanks
    S
