    Default Tell a Friend

    hello
My client wants a tell a friend script / module that does not require logging in but just filling out ther referrer email / name and the friend name email - message.

IS there such a option as the default one requires the referrer to log in first before sending.

    thanks
    ian

And open your site up to a torrent of outgoing spam ...

Not a good idea, IMO. If someone wants to tell a friend about something on your site, pasting the page URL into an email is easier than filling out the little Zencart TAF form, anyway.

You may want to try a plug and play referral platform that lets you track your signups and incentivize your users to share with their friends. Those often have fraud prevention measures in place.

I know of one called Curebit that's integrated with Zencart. They have 1 month free trial if you decide you don't like.

    Good luck!

Agreed, and why I have mine set to logged in users only. Question, though. Is there a captcha plugin available that would slow this down?

    There's this:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=1731

    I haven't used it.

I don't know if the Form Armor service covers the Tell a Friend or not.

thanks for that , totally missed the lower part of email configuration.

I don't really like the Tell a friend type forms due to there spamability, but client wants this.

Does anyone actually use these forms for good? I just email link from my browser

    Thanks
    ian
