how to edit main page help please

i have just started to work on zen cart and i carnt ad text to the main page with the editor. i have checked on the server and the text is on the main page file. but it is not showing on the home page. i can ad text every where else ie. page 2,3,4 etc but not the home.
ANY IDEAS PLEASE. AS I WOULD LIKE TO GET MY SITE UP AND RUNNING..

Have you built your CUSTOM template yet? And constructed the relevant OVER-RIDE FOLDERS?

That's all well and good... but you don't say WHERE it is on the server.

My earlier question is attempting to determine that answer.

What is the directory PATH to that file?


You see... if you have a CUSTOM template, then it is likely that the files for the HTML defines are a bit "wonky".

The "deprecated" sections are untouched from stock, and cannot be related to the problem.

Do you have a file /includes/languages/english/html_includes/classic/define_main_page.php? If so, what is its content?
And what is the content of /includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_main_page.php?
