Thanks for the reply. I just tried using google chrome to enable/disable product categories (at lightning speed) and no issue at all, been at it for a few minutes...
However here is where it gets weird
I now went back to Explorer (version 9.0) and tried enabling/disabling and after a few attempts the site hangs and become unaccessable.
I then went back to google chrome to see if its just unaccessable through IE, but I am also not able to access the site through google chrome (so the site is actually down across the board).
So what the heck? Any ideas? Maybe a bug in IE causing Zen to trip and therefore affecting the server its on?
Sounds like a database connection issue. Are you doing some kind of testing; disabling so much so quickly?
