    Default Attributes Issue---Weird

    Hello,

I have been using zen cart for a while and have never ran into this before. Not sure what I did wrong.

I can add an Option Name and Option Values just like normal. But then when I go to the attribute controller to add the item and select the specific attribute, once I click on the "insert" button to apply it (just like always) it automatically takes me back to the main "admin home page"

when I check it doesn't add the attribute

Any ideas what this could be? I have checked the cache and there is no errors popping up.

    Any guidance would be great.

    Thank you for the reply.

It looks like my server is running PHP Version 5.2.17

Are you suggesting to take ALL of the steps listed in the last post of this page?

    PHP Version 5.2.17
This is more recent than v5.2.3, so that post does not apply to you.
    Symptoms:
    a) Using PHP version lower than 5.2.3 (and 5.2.3 is LESS THAN 5.2.13, for example. ie: 3 is less than 13)

ah, any other ideas as to why it would do this. When I add an option value or name it works fine. The issue is when I go to apply it to a product, I hit the add button, after selecting the option value and name and then instead of it adding it I am redirected back to the admin home page?

where is the files stored that controls this, on the admin side or regular cart files?

    Any help would be great

    thanks

I am having this very same issue as the 1st post made by timhersh. I am running PHP 5.2.9 so I am at a loss right now.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    UPDATE!!

I have found my issue and maybe others who have posted this issue.

If you are running Dual Pricing there is something wrong with the attributes_controller.php code. I renamed my attributes_controller.php that was updated with the code for Dual Pricing using WinMerge to attributes_controller_ORIGINAL.php and loaded that up with winmerge and compared it to the actual original copy of attributes_controller.php that came with 1.3.9h and I noticed several line changes with a "w" which meant wholesale. I uploaded the original attributes_controller.php file that came with 1.3.9h to my site and now the attributes are working fine. Not sure what damage it is going to do with all my wholesale prices I have added to the products, but I guess there are other work arounds. Haven't fully tested those yet. I don't use the attributes for pricing, just sizes and stuff.

I did search this issue on the Dual Pricing Support thread and seems alot of people are having this issue with no one coming up with a resolution for the problem.

At least it appears you are getting answers. I posted about an attribute issue a couple days ago and no answers. I will review this answer.

I use the attributes controller only to make a form for customers to fill out specific info for my card shop. I can't seem to get this issue resolved. Every time I try to add an attribute and click insert it does nothing but take me back to the attribute controller page and does not insert the attribute. I tried replacing my old attribute_controller.php file from before I updated, which I think I did a couple days ago. Still didn't work. Pretty much rendering my business useless right now.
