Default TinyMCE editor not working correctly.

Using 1.3.9g on a Linux server.

On my site neither HTMLarea nor TinyMCE work correctly for editing product pages. No matter which icon is selected: link, insert picture, etc. a small windows opens with the site's index page. The "browse to" window never opens.

Did a fresh install in a root subdirectory and the behavior is the same. Any ideas?

    Default HTMLarea and TinyMCE

When using either TinyMCE, or HTMLarea to edit store products, any icon I click on opens a window with the site's index page. It's my wife's site and she doesn't know nor have any desire to learn HTML.

    Any ideas?

Is this a new problem or were things working fine before; and if yes, what changes were made? Other than that, sounds like they are not installed correctly.

This has been happening since day 1 to the best of my knowledge. It was only recently brought to my attention. Someone else loaded tinymce to the site.

I did install a fresh zencart and a fresh tinymce in a subdirectory and experienced the same problem. So, I'm guessing its something in the root directory.

Probably something amuck with your /editors/.htaccess file. Double check that its contents are the same as what came with the original Zen Cart files.
And if you have an .htaccess file in the root of your site make sure you've not added anything to it that might prevent the editor files from loading. Easiest to rename those .htaccess files temporarily to htaccess_bak to disable them. Then if things magically start working you know that you've either broken something by putting wrong stuff into those files, or you're on a server that's got security protections broken on it.

Still having this issue. To reiterate, when attempting to insert an image using either tinyMCE or HTMLarea, instead of the "Browse" window opening, a window with the sites index page opens.

    Can anyone help?
