No errors but pages being truncated

I can't begin to figure this one out and believe it may be due to something that another developer did.

The page stopped at a certain point erratically - one place is right before the featured products box. Once I turned that off, I'm seeing the problem any longer.

The other is inside a few sub categories where the page stops immediately after the filter drop down - before the form tags.

There are no php errors - none in the cache and I turned on strict reporting briefly and nothing shows on the page.

Since most subcategories seem to be working, I can't see that this is a mysql error.

Any guesses as to what the problem could be?

There are a number mods here but nothing recent and I installed most of them.

And the other scenario was a corrupted product entry in the database. He figured out which product was causing the problem and removed it.

I've run into this same thing before but it was more obvious what the problem was that time.

I'm glad I didn't go to the extent of comparing files etc.
