What do you see in the Dropdown on the Option Values?

On the Option Name, what is the Option Type that you picked? It should be Radiobutton or Dropdown ...

At the moment it is saying choose file and then my window opens to my files for upload- why would anyone want to do that?

How do I make it so customer has digital download code sent to them? Where do I put each individual download code for individuals to retrieve their music download?

If you are offering Downloads then you need to make the Option Name type Radiobuttons or Dropdown not File ... File is for Uploads from the Customer ...

Sort Orders are best set by number in 10s ... 10, 20, 30 etc. ...

You can reuse Sort Orders on the Option Values, it is the Sort Order of the Option Name/Option Value that matter ...

So Option Name Color can have Sort Order 10 - 60 and Option Name Size can have Sort Order 10 - 50 ... they do not interfere with one another ...

Thanks Ajeh, the problem I'm having is I have music download cards from the company who provides them and each of those cards has a unique code and the customer must after receiving their unique code go to the page of the company that makes them to redeem their download by placing the code in the redeem box.

So say I have 300 unique codes, how do I place them in the download folder so that once one is taken it is gone and the next is ready to buy? I will have to input every single unique code won't I?

So now I'm thinking that's way too much work so it seems the download cards should only be purchasable at shows and online I could place an mp3 file in the download folder so anyone who purchased the music could retrieve that file but only once and then it would be ready for the next buyer. What kind of script would have to be written in the configure files to make that happen?

It seems to me that you don't need downloadable products at all.
Instead you need a PIN/License/SerialNumber addon, or to write your own custom code to do the same sort of thing.
There are instructions for writing that code in various other forum discussions, and possibly some addons already built which you could adapt.

You've written one I think I read somewhere with tickets and that is my next thing I need to work out.

But surely I do need a downloadable product whether it be a digital music file or digital ticket for the show?

I just don't have anywhere near the mental capability or skill in php to facilitate, I can only imagine and I'm sure there is an array of maths involved. I couldn't possibly invent a script , only follow instructions.

Are there any tutorials for this besides the one I've bookmarked by DrByte?

Very quickly running out of time and nowhere near finishing this shop. Really should have started with hardest part first weeks ago and left the simple things for last

PS can I ask again, is it possible to put just one music file in dload folder so many customers can buy it ??
Because that way wouldn't have to bother buying the dload cards because we have the music here copyrighted to us!
