Default How to Remove a half-installed broken add-on?

I'm in a ZC cleaning mode. Next item to be cleaned is to finish removing a broken add-on module: Google Froogle. I started to install it about 9 months ago. I never got it working - i got it to show on the admin panel under tools but that was as far as I ever got. Then when I moved my store over to a new server I left a few things that might have said google froogle behind. (I don't remember if they were files, or a folder.) Today while surfing around the control panel I noticed the tools menu still said "Google Froogle". Just looking at it gave me an error log:
PHP Warning: opendir(/home/myname/public_html/GOOGLE_FROOGLE_DIRECTORY) [<a href='function.opendir'>function.opendir</a>]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/myname/public_html/certainunmamedadminfolder/googlefroogle.php on line 185

How do I finish the uninstall since I no longer have the file(s) or access to any uninstall script, which probably wouldn't run if parts were missing?

    1.3.9h on a Linux server.

If you can get a copy of the same version that you installed, then you can unpack the module and see what folders and files are involved.

If core file OVERWRITES were neccesary, then you need to "protect" those files by comparing them (winmerge) with their core originals, and backing them up somewhere. Then you need to assess what parts of the code can be removed safely, before sending the file(s) back to the server.

Then, it should be safe to remove all other files.

The mod will have a install SQL, and might have an Uninstall counterpart.

Oh this sounds like work. I might slide this one a bit farther down on the to-do list.......

On this particular add-on the sql uninstall should work fine to remove the configuration options.

For the files just compare the file and folder structure of the mod with your shop (with Beyond Compare for example) and it should be easy to see what files have been left behind.
