PayPal viewing discount as negative VAT

Hi

a client is using v1.3.9f and has a number of mods installed including Frequency Discount.

They have had no problems until this week a customer from New Zealand (who is non Vatable) paid for an item through PayPal who rejected the transaction because of a negative Tax amount.

I assume that they saw a sub total for the goods, then a negative figure which they assumed to be negative VAT, when in fact there was no VAT, but there was a discount from the Frequency Discount scheme. They've read this discount as negative VAT.

Can anyone please offer advice?

A number of fixes have been implemented since the version you mention.
Testing your addons in conjunction with the latest version would be a good next step.
