Search very slow

Hi I wondered if anybody knew of ways to speed up the zen cart search and advanced search or any mods that work faster than the out of the box zen cart search and advanced search?

I've been building a very large site and the database is taking ages to search, I think the sidebox search takes around 3mins which isn't good.

That sounds like a server/host/database issue.

I would agree with Resco.

We have several sites exceeding 50,000 products, and we don't experience speed problems of any kind whatsoever. But we are on one of the UK's most sophisticated servers, managed by Terranetwork.
