editor question

i know there use to be a feature included with zen cart that would allow you to edit the description and allow you to kinds make some html tables and what not in it, and i thought it was included by default....is that the case still,

so i have to enable something some where i thought that i did but i cant remember where at

The buggy HTMLArea editor was removed from the latest version of Zencart. This is considered the best of the editor mods:

But by "description" does he mean item description? That can still be edited in html at least thru version 1.3.9h. And it's got a tab for tables in it. On the category admin pages before clicking on a product, there's the pull-down menu up top right of the page that defaults to text, pulls down to select html area. I use it for all my products because I'm too lazy to remember the text scripts for bold and underline. It's just not the default setting. Or was the question about something else from before my time?

You're right. I was thinking of version 1.5 as 'the latest'. I would still recommend installing the other editor.
