1044 Access denied for user xxxxxx to database yyyyyy

HI,
I am getting this error when I try to install the cart.

Installation In Progress...

1044 Access denied for user 'PCCComp_mark'@'%' to database 'PCCComp_DLYC'
in:
[DROP TABLE IF EXISTS upgrade_exceptions;]


Install just stops their.????

Any ideas?

When you created that user did you give access privileges? If you use cPanel there is a Video tutorial on how to do that. On the same page where you create databases/users there is a button at the top of the page to view the video. Otherwise, tell us what Hosting control panel you are using for a better answer.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for giving me a clue where to look. Checking my access rights I found most unchecked ( turned off ). That took care of the install error. Thank You again for the help.
