Is it possible to base an attribute upon another attribute? Let me explain my need:
My store sells picture frames. The first two attributes are for size. (length and width of the picture frame). The sizes range from 5" to 80" I can see how to add price and weight to these attributes so as the picture frame increases it adds money and weight for shipping.
Here is where it gets tricky: Now based upon this size and width I have a few more options: 1. matting, double matting, backing, and plexiglass. If I could base these option prices based upon the size options (length and width) it would enable me to charge the right price for these options.
This is why this is important to me. Obviously there is going to be a big price difference between a larger (say 40" X 40") picture frame over a smaller (say 10" X 10") picture frame. Once again the cart has options I can add for changing this. But when the visitor needs to add matting, double matting, and plexiglass it is also going to be a big difference due to the range of the sizes (not only for price but also weight). If I could base the second options (matting, double matting, backing, and plexiglass) on the first options (length and width), then I could charge the right price.
Is this possible? If not, is there a manual solution or work around that anyone knows that will help my problem? I have been thinking of this hard for weeks but don't know the answer, so any help would be much appreciated?![]()
