Designing for Mobile Web App

1. Does anyone have a good solution for getting products to appear under the drop down menu / category?

I'm trying to get my products to appear under the category after one clicks on the category header as it does in the following two sites.

2. How do I have add-ons/customize?
Let's say I have a ham + cheese sandwich as the item one chooses. After that, I want to have the customer have the choice of adding American vs Swiss cheese. What's an appealing way to do that with Zen Cart but on a mobile web app?


I'll be starting fresh, so open to all versions and new templates.
