No, Do not show Quantity Box

I'm using 1.3.9h with the Theme 458 template. This problem also is present with the default template. When adding a new product, I select the "No, Do not show Quantity Box" and receive a message in red "Warning: Does not show Quantity Box, Default to Qty 1", however the store still displays the quantity. I wouls prefer to not show the quantity to the web site customers. Is this possible?

I cannot reproduce the issue with v1.3.9h with the default template ...

Do you have any kind of Add On that you might be using?

The ""No, Do not show Quantity Box" when inserting a product just deletes that input box where the customer can type in a 2 or 3 if he wants to buy 2 or 3 of the item. You are decidng not to show the quantity box Because you aren't giving the customer the option of buying two or three, the default is that if they click add to cart, it puts one item in the cart. Thus the "warning" note.

If you don't want to show the quantity available then change this:
admin > catalog > product types > (the product type) > Show Quantity In Stock
