    Default Two websites, identical settings but one won't show free shipping on checkout

    I just launched my second website and basically they are identical. The one I just launched, Stained Glass Galaxy is having a glitch. During the checkout process on step one of three it is only showing walk in as an option but I want walk in and free shipping. The green light is lit in the free shipping module. It is odd because the settings are the same in my other website Kaleidoscope Galaxy but both options show during checkout on that website.

    This has nothing to do with this topic but if someone who looks at this know the answer that would be great. I am wanting to have one of my categories when it is clicked on to open to a new page with my second website. I do not know if this is possible but thought I would put it out there.

    For the second question, there are some ideas here:

    If that doesn't do it, search the forums for categories external - there are several threads.

    Thanks Stevesh...did not know to call "external links." So in reading the forums it appears wiser to put the external link in either the header/footer or sidebox. In rethinking this, I am now considering adding external links for each type of kaleidoscope. Is it betterr to place the links in one over the other (header/footer/sidebox) or is it total cosmetic preference? If it is preference I am leaning towards sidebox, since there will be five items if I list them individually.

    Also totally off topic, a few weeks ago you suggested that I add text-align: center to #mainbody {
    width: 691px; background: url(../images/bg_mainbody.png) 0 0 no-repeat;} to center the images on each category main page
    but that did not work - it centers the category name on the page. Any other ideas?

    I'd probably be inclined to use EZ pages for those links and put them in the footer (navSupp). You could put them in the header (navEZPagesTop), but I'm not sure it's a good idea to present a very visible easy way for visitors to leave your site.

    I don't know why that stuff won't center, but I can say that not one in a thousand visitors will notice it.

    For free shipping to show, all the products in the cart must have the free shipping radio button set on them (in admin->catalog->categories/products). Is this the case?

    That was it! I had a test item without free shipping. Put the free shipping on and everything worked. Thank you:)

    Stevesh, I know the average person will not notice but I know. Oh well it will just be that way. Read about not having customers leaving site but I don't know any other option b/c I want them to know about Kaleidoscope Galaxy since the two sites carry different things. I will brainstorm other ideas. Thanks for all of your knowledge. It is immensely valued by me and I am quite sure by others. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

    I didn't realize you were going to point to your own sites. In that case, I'd probably use the EZ page menu in the header.
