No. If it's the center section you're concerned with, it has nothing to do with banners. In Zencart, the term 'banner' refers to advertising spaces defined in specific areas on the site. If I understand what you want to accomplish, you could use HTML to code those images into define_main_page.php, using Admin - Tools - Define Pages Editor if you like.

I have installed Zen 1.5.0 RC2

I will need to add a text editor- the HTML editor contributions are only compatible up to 1.3.8 or 1.3.9

Is there a general preference for any particular editor?
