customizing the header

I am interested in adding another image into the header in addition to "logo" and the "background" image. I would like this image to float right. How and what files do I change? Thank you for your time and attention.

joejoejoe, Thanks for the reply. I've created the div and inserted the tag in the the stylesheet. Not joy. Not quite sure what the issue is. I'm using 1.5. When I insert the div into tpl.php it merely distorts the page. I'm not sure where to place the tag into the logowrapper > logo div.

In this thread someone asked the exact same question - additional image in header, float it to the right. The steps should be there.

Just what does "distorts the page" mean? Is there an additional image now showing but it's out of place and too big/small and pushing everything off or what?

When I was adding the tags the display in the browser showed the divs all garbled up. That's what I meant by "distorted".
