Can purchase generate an automatic download link?

So I got a lot of things sorted out but have a couple of questions.

1. If my digital download is an attribute, there is only one type, so when I make my option name, what should I choose between
Dropdown Box/Text/Checkbox/File/readonly - for its option type? THeres only ever going to be one option type and Yes I want it preselected, but ideally no radio button or checkbox. Its just yes, invisible and simple. There's no "no" and there's no option. Its just a state of yes I want that one thanks.

2. If I execute a working Paypal Express transaction for digital download, is there a way to send the customer the download link automatically? From early tests it looks like I still have to email the customer with the download link manually.

Thanks for any advice. Please note I cant seem to get to the online help files.

You never have to e-mail a link manually. If appropriate, Zen Cart will include the link in the order confirmation e-mail.

It is possible to use CSS to hide a particular attribute. We would need to see it live to give the correct rule(s) for your site and product.

You never have to e-mail a link manually. If appropriate, Zen Cart will include the link in the order confirmation e-mail.

Can you please take a look at the help files URL again because it just doesn't load for me and I can't see how else to find this information.

I'm not sure why you are not getting the stylesheet loading. You are still getting the page text content. Do you really get bumped to the tutorials homepage when you follow the link to the specific article?

Add to your stylesheet
#attrib-1-1, #attrib-1-1+label {display: none;}
This cannot affect the "Download"; if you have only download attributes on any products, you can just add a rule
#productAttributes {display: none;}

If you want to hide the "Download" as well, install Flexible Attributes from Free Addons.

Best to choose Radio Button. Besides, if you choose Dropdown but only have one option in it, ZC will switch it to Radio Button anyway.
That's explained in the Tutorial/FAQ article mentioned earlier, and its linked articles.

Zen Cart will automatically send the customer an Order Confirmation email from your store, which contains a link to their My Account page where they can do the download.
Of course, they can also do the download immediately on the Checkout-Success page which they see after they've completed payment with Paypal Express Checkout, so they may never need the email link anyway.

Hmm ok. Well I still cant see the documentation page, which is a bit of a problem but I had a friend send it to me as screenshots. I followed everything, its seems logical, but theres still no download link?

Am I missing a download link here? Would it be because my zip file is 130mb and has an underscore in its name?

There's no download link there because the customer didn't select the download attribute before adding to cart.

Hi Dr Byte,
I think I've managed to figure this out and now have my shop working 100%. I just need to make it so people can whizz in and out without being offerred a login and then its exactly how I want it.
