Bulk Create Option Values

So I have an Attribute, Quantity (Pieces), and I need option values to go to 500 pieces.

I manually created 0-100 yesterday to test out some things, but now need to get that to 500.

Is there any way to do this in a batch, or am I forced to manually enter the remaining 400 option values?

Also, to tidy up my table, can I safely delete the option values that came pre-installed?

You can remove option values (and option names) that are of no use to you. ZC will prompt (warn) you if an option you are trying to delete is associated with a product.

500 option values is quite a few... will these all show up as a drop-down? It will be quite a long list for customers to scroll through.

There is probably a way to insert these using SQL, but you would need to look particularly at the way the database handles the relationship between an option value ID and its relevant option NAME. Because your SQL would have to deal with this relational element.

Not all items will have 500 options, but I have to give them the option to not order a full box, which is 500 items, and charge them if they don't want a full box.

I'm working on the 100 item boxes today, and have an email to the head site admin to see if he can do the SQL stuff, I was just looking for a tool to do it without bothering him.

Most of the boxes are packed in 25's and 50's, so for the most part the lists will be quite short.
