Totally Lost! How do I set up 9000 products?

HI,
I thought learning how to use Zen would have been the hard part but now I think I need to go back to scratch.
I have a web client who has a storefront and she would like to add an online shopping cart.
She has over 9000 products that have no images and no weights and measures.
I was exploring easy populate to upload all products and then thought we could edit from there - Is this the best approach?
Any help much appreciated

Yes, Easy Populate is the best approach. It's a tough mod, though, so spend some time in the support thread boning up on the various intricacies involved.

I continue to recommend Easy Populate 1.2.5.4 for these purposes. I have a WIKI Tutorial on EP:

There is no getting round the need to manually capture and configure the data... whether that's for 9, 90, 900, or 9000 products. At some point in the creation of the data, human input is needed.

Spreadsheets are the most efficient way of compiling the data, because if it exists in some electronic (digital) format - even parts of it - then it is not too difficult to "scrape" it all into a spreadsheet.

Two months ago we took on the task of building a furniture store, where the initial data was all over the place. There were initially some 12,000 products but this was finally cut down to about 4,000.

A team of 3 helpers (with good skills in MS Excel) managed to get it done in about 3 days.
