    Default Pulling image from URL

I'm running version 1.3.8a and I have inserted product images in categories/products/product image in the admin with a link to the url where they are stored. The url's are valid when inserted into a browser but they will not display in ZenCart. Can ZenCart display pictures if it has to go out to a external url to pull them in or does it have to have them stored in the database?
I found this post from 2008-2009 (2 yrs ago).....has this been since resolved? I dont have the images from my supplier, only URLs in spreadsheet. Can this be done now and if so can I get some help? I am running 139h with around 50,000 products.......

    Thanks,
    Hollywood~

I use a spreadsheet to upload my products to it with Easy Populate, my distributor supplys me with the updated spreadsheet.. I don't have the images because they are on the web and my spreadsheet contains a link to them.

Unfortunatly - ZenCart will not retrieve an image from a URL and this Mod didnt work for me. You have to have the image on your server, in a folder.

Is there a program that I can paste the urls all at once that will download them?

    Thanks

You can scrape the images off the suppliers site, then load them to your server.
