red x in catalog window

Hi

It seems on occasion, typically if I let the admin login time out, when I log back in there is a small red x in the categories/products top window, usually over the by the quantity column. I have to click on it to turn it green. What does the red mean? and why does it turn red?

I've posted before and haven't received a reply, so I thought perhaps if I attached a photo it might help. What happens is that I log off and when I log back in and go to my categories page, there is a red x and I have to click it to go green. I'm not sure what the red x means or why it goes red.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Have to say I've never noticed that before. It appears to toggle the Go To dropdown on and off. Why you'd want to do that, I don't know.

Thanks! A red x usually means something bad and I was afraid that this was impacting the performance of the store. Glad to hear that it was just a nuisance / annoyance. Oddly enough, I never tried clicking it once it went green to see what it did - guess I was afraid it wouldn't be good.
