You don't have any subcategories. Bag Pac and Messenger Bag appear under Bags in your dropdown, but they are all top categories.

There is something strange about your category organization. When you finally navigate to a product in Bag Pac, the breadcrumbs show it as a subcat of Bags, but the Bag Pac product listing page shows Bag Pac as a top category.
Meanwhile, Messenger Bag with its one product shows it as a top cat even when open to the product.

Actually Iīve mase things right with the COLUMN GRID LAYOUT but just for categories and subcat ( or whatever they are ) but now product listing of every kind is still in row and the style of the subcategories in not respecting the one of the categories!

Column Grid only applies to the product listing page; it is irrelevant to category listings, which already display in grid form unless you have changed the coding or the styling.

The one subcat that appeared with its correct cPath in the breadcrumbs did show that you had some subcats set up, but that indicates that there was some wonky custom coding somewhere that was not handling them correctly.

not really the categories were my problem, but subcategories, fixed anyhow but still I have to fix the spacing between elements (title price etc )

and if u check the home dropdown ( new product, all product etc.. canīt manage to show them in grid when you see them singularly.... probably some coding problem but how to fix? the DTK is helping but go faster wouldnt be bad!

Category and subcategory listings are the same thing. Do you perhaps mean by "subcategories" the product listing page, where all products of one (sub)category are displayed?

The all products, new products, featured products and specials pages do not follow the product listing but have their own templates. If you want those in a grid, look for the Single Listing Template mod in Free Addons.

    Thanks,

Anyhow the problem is solved for the sub showing in grid, but still the syle, and the spacing are different, I will fix that (hopefully) in the near future.

and thanks for suggesting the add ons!
