    help question SMTPauth e-mail problems

    Hello,

I'm having a lot of trouble getting SMTPauth to work on my ZC 1.3.9h site. E-mails sent from the store are always reported by the store as successful, and show up in the mail log the same way. But, no e-mail arrives.

I'm sure I'm using valid server names, credentials, and port (that work from an e-mail client). I've tried both the email address and the user id for the username field. What else can I look at to find out what's going on? I really need this to work! help!

    ,
    Fred

Update: I was able to get mail to go through (I am now receiving the e-mails) but instead of returning to a store page, I just get a page that says "line 5721" and nothing else (an otherwise blank white page). The code behind just contains that line.

    The url being displayed is:

    http://domain.fake/shop/index.php?ma...us&action=send

Is this only for contact-us emails?

Best to ask your hosting company why it can't connect. Sounds like the port might be blocked. Zen Cart basically opens a telnet connection using the host, port, user, password supplied. If it can't do that, then it fails.

The emails are arriving now, though, they're just returning that line number instead of returning to the shop page

    That's VERY odd.

I don't believe there's a file in the zen cart installation that's even that long (5721 lines)? Can you give me any more clues, lol

    Update:

Some monkeying with the settings revealed that the one at the end is actually a separate response, and the line being referenced is 572. If that helps...

What were the results of the comparison I told you to do?
