SMTP Errors on windows server hosted by godaddy.com

Hi,

I am using zencart version 1.3.9h. I am unable to integrate google apps email in the zencart. I have tried all the options available.

When sending email from contact us panel, I am getting the following error:

Email Error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.

The following are the settings:

xxxxxxx is a valid and working email ID. I am working on a windows server hosted by godaddy.com.

I have bought an SSL certificate ( standard). It is also working fine.

Please help as it is my first attempt.

Is port 465 open on your server?

First recommendation would be to move off of that host ASAP - or at least move to a linux server -

Kim's right... Both are bad choices for zencart (in fact any site) - particularly the second one - GoDaddy.

i am sorry for responding late. Yes, it is open. I have done some changes in the configuration, I've disabled google apps and started using the default email provided by godaddy. I have made the following changes in the mail options. I am able to send the emails ( from contactus) they are not reaching anywhere.Please help.

Your host must help... this is a server issue.

if you host with a good host, you wouldn't even be posting this question.

Go ask GoDaddy to assist you. We cannot know how their monkeys have messed up the server. We don't work for GoDaddy.

Sorry to be so blunt, but your problem is your host.

Everyone knows that GoDaddy is useless - so just find a host that knows eCommerce and zencart, and your problems (and there will be many) will disappear.
