Customizing Attrubutes Help!

I have installed the Products attibute grid to my shop and found that it works perfectly except the attribute options go way too far off the page, Is there any way I could put the attributes in a grid or make them go down vertically instead.

Any help is awesome, even if its just pointing me in the direction of the files that I should be editing.

is there a reason you chose this grid attribute ?
maybe you can use other type of attribute to show your products such as Dropdown ?

The reason I need to use the Grid layout is because of the way its sold, Selling replacement kitchen doors means that people will most likely have different sizes of the same product. So if I used a dropdown its like you can only select one size then put in a quantity then add to basket, Then add another size, add a quantity and add to basket. Whereas with the grid layout you can add the quantity to the sizes you need and click add the order just once.

Im not sure if that makes sense to you. Im currently trying to think of any other way I could fix the layout issue, or if there would be another way of achiving the same thing.

I haven't used the Product Attribute Grid mod, but I see that you are getting all of the attributes in a row instead of a grid. There should be something in the instructions for directing when to start a new row... what do they say? Have you looked at the support thread for the mod? That is where this question belongs.

It seems that not many people get answers on the support forums for that add-on.

Can you guys think of any other way I could achieve a listing of all the attributes, Where the quantity wanted could be put in and then added to the cart?

The reason for doing this is as stated above, When someone wants replacement kitchen doors they will need different sizes, So they will go onto the style they want and need to put the different quantities they need for each size.

Product Attribute Grid is the only mod I know of that allows inputting attribute quantities without setting up a dropdown of possible quantities for each.
If you can't make the grid display as a grid, the best route may be to make each hxw size a dropdown, with the choice of 0 to the maximum reasonable quantity of each size.

Did you see any instructions for setting the two variables to be cross-referenced in the grid? Factor A vs. Factor B?

Unfortunately not, It seems that I have followed the instructions correctly, and It is setup all correctly too. There are no additional instructions about no of rows/columns. I shall wait until tomorrow to see If there is an answer on the support forum. If not I feel I will have to do it with each size been a separate attribute . Its a shame if I have to do it that way As I feel it will take YEARS!

If you set up one option name like 120 x 240 with all the quantity option values you want, you can then copy those values as a group to other option names.

Good news! I got the attribute addon to display correctly, Turns out it was me just doing it wrong. For it to make a grid it needs two attribute names to form the axis. So adding a blank attribute named Quantity fixed the problem for me.

Now I just needs to remove the stray radiobox at the top (Addon bug) and also make it look a little nicer!
