Default Cookies on Windows 7 phone

    Hi

When I go onto my ZenCart site on my Windows 7.5 phone and try to add something to the cart I get the Cookies not enabled page. On the phone I have ticked the "allow cookies on my phone" box. And in Zen Cart I have Force Cookies set to False. I tried another zencart site and got the same problem. I tried a site that is not zencart and it was OK.
I am just worried that a customer may try to order on their phone and have the same problem.
    Any ideas?

I have worked out that it is OK on some zencart sites but not others.

I have now tried setting "Prevent Spider Sessions" to False. That worked and I can now add items to my cart from my phone. However will this, set to false, cause other problems?

Yes, it will cause other problems.

Please open the store using your phone, and then from your PC go to Admin->Tools->Who's Online and look at your connection from the phone and report back what User Agent it's showing.

    Hi Dr Byte

It says this (With the prevent spider session set back to true):

    /store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=687

and this with it set to false:

Hmmm ... nothing in there should be tripping up the spiders-detection, so the "Prevent Spider Session" switch should have no effect at all.

    What version of Zen Cart?
What addons do you have on your site?

    My Version is 1.3.9h.

My template is Cherry Zen with these addons:
    OzPost shipping
    Blank Sidebox
    Image Handler
    Zen Lightbox
    Newsletter Subscribe
    User tracking

    Hope this helps.

PS I don't think it is the OzPost because a US site blocked me as well as the Australian sites I tried. And it is only on my phone, my PC is fine. I do not have access to another smartphone to try. My website is www.thehorsestall.com.au if you have access to a phone.

I just set "Force Cookie Use" to True in Zencart and that worked!
Is that OK? Are there any side effects of that?

If none of your customers are paranoid and refuse to accept cookies when they visit your site to purchase, then you should be fine.
If they are, then those customers may have trouble purchasing from your site as long as you have Force Cookie Use turned on.
